What this book will give you
This book is for those who already read charts, their own and others', and want to go through the twelfth house in depth. I have gathered here what I said about it on the basic course, at the intensive on derived meanings and in the lesson on the D12 chart: the nature of the house, its meanings, the three levels of moksha, the lord of the twelfth by house, planets, the twelve reference points and how to give a person a solution.
What you will get:
- the names of the twelfth house and its main meanings;
- the twelfth house as the house of moksha and why it is not the worst of the dusthanas;
- three levels on which a person seeks liberation;
- sleep, concentration, evening and the subconscious;
- the lord of the twelfth in each of the twelve houses;
- twelve reference points, each on a separate diagram;
- hidden motives and purity of intention;
- planets in the twelfth house, upayas and a practicum.
Twelve reference points
Twelfth from the first
Expenses and losses. Here one sees my ability to control expenses, do charity, go to bed on time, meditate. This is a person's task through the twelfth house.
The twelfth house stands behind one's back. The first is me, and the twelfth is my back. Death is drawn with a scythe behind one's back, and sins also stand behind a person's back. Sin in the deepest understanding is unwillingness to serve God. Malefics in the twelfth can show sins in the subconscious; benefics a more enlightened subconscious.
Second from the eleventh
Charity supports and feeds profit and the fulfilment of desires. All vaishyas, traders, know this: the more you donate, the more you will receive. If a person is rich and doesn't donate, it means they donated in a past life. If they break the chain now, profit will soon end. One must donate with heart. I came up with a picture: a person takes bank cards, waters them, and money begins to grow.
A miser is afraid to give; it's hard for him to spend even on advertising. “When I have money, then I'll give” — that will never happen. If you can't donate money, donate time, abilities. But donate to worthy people: if a person will spend your money on vodka, better not to.
The more regularly we receive strong spiritual impressions, especially in the morning, the more the subconscious changes. Our selfish ambitions turn into good ones. That is how the twelfth house feeds the eleventh: more patrons appear, money comes more easily. But there is no need to renounce service to God together with the material: that is excessive detachment.

Third from the tenth
Yoga and meditation as the initiative for activity. Liberation from karma as the true motive of work. The third house is effort and motive, the tenth activity. The true motive of our activity should become liberation from karma. The Bhagavad Gita says: whatever you do, whatever you eat, whatever you give away, do it as an offering to Me. Any act not performed as a sacrifice to God leads to bondage in the material world, whether a good action or a bad one.
The twelfth house is our offering. We sacrifice money, life, the false ego, identification with the body. Real efforts should lead us to freedom. In the picture a person cuts the chain of karma with an axe.
Fourth from the ninth
Liberation is the happiness of spiritual life, the happiness of our dharma. If the lord of the twelfth has gone into the ninth, tell the person: develop the ability to practise meditation so as to receive satisfaction from spiritual life. Spiritual happiness outweighs all the joys of the material world, but first one must sacrifice and accept restrictions.
Here one also sees that our inclination to charity and our liberation are happiness for the father and the teacher. And conversely: if a son goes to prison, it is misfortune for the father.
Fifth from the eighth
Liberation as the fruit of spiritual experience and transformation. This is my combination: the lord of the twelfth has gone into the eighth. I need to be told: “Andrey, develop the ability to focus attention and work with the subconscious so as to support yourself in crises, in secret knowledge, in jyotish, so as to be stress-resistant.” When the lord of one house has gone into the fifth from another, it is good; issues are usually resolved more easily. Although Venus in a dusthana is weak; everything is mixed.
If we rightly use the unfolding of secret knowledge, the fruit will be liberation. We rack our brains, solve mysteries, go through painful transformations — and this leads to a spirit of sacrifice and renunciation. That is why secret knowledge should be studied: to be freed from suffering.
